CrowdReward

Crowdsourced AI training
Crowd Reward is a stealth startup from a well-known Silicon Valley company building a crowd-sourced platform that allows people worldwide to photograph everyday items to train AI models.

Challenge

The challenge was to design an entire product—screens, user interface, and complete workflow—within 5 days, entirely in wireframe format. This wasn't about visual polish, colors, or typography. This was about functionality, user experience flow, and delivering a clear vision of how a product like this could work at scale.

Impact

In just one 5-day UX Sprint, we delivered 80% of the screens for a major product platform. The client was completely blown away by the speed and comprehensiveness of the delivery. After a half-day handover call with their product development team, they were able to build and deliver the product internally within just 2 weeks. Our wireframes provided the complete blueprint they needed to move from concept to launched product in under a month total.

Approach

Pre-flight
We had a three hour meeting the week before the sprint to meet the team, discuss the project brief, walkthrough the product, confirm the deliverables and obtain any necessary assets before the first day of the sprint.
Daily calls
Every morning we had a 15 minute stand up with the Crowdsource team
Show & Tell
At the end of each day we sent an email with a link to a prototype plus a video screencast of us presenting our work to the Crowdsource team
Prototyping
Prototypes not presentations - we prefer to show prototypes instead of screens. This allowed the Crowdsource team to walk through user journeys instead of a set of static screens.
Handover
We performed three rounds of user testing which were all recorded. The video recordings, feedback and results all made available to the team, and written up into a user testing report.
